Rose Bowl
Entering its 50th year fielding girls' soccer teams, AYSO Region 13 held a Celebration of Women's Soccer, March 18th, 2022 at the Rose Bowl.

The evening commemorated Region 13's role in the creation of the Brandi Chastain statue by
the Rose Bowl, and served as a kick-off for Region 13's Sisterhood of Soccer - a group of
Celebrating Women's Soccer
volunteers dedicated to recruiting and mentoring female players, refs, and coaches.

First, Region 13's younger players took over the field with small-sided games. Then. Cobi Jones - former US Men's National Team and Galaxy star, and current co-owner of LA women's pro soccer team Angel City FC - gave the kids some inspiration. And finally, fans were treated to an exhibition match featuring Region 13's G16U and G19U players. Scroll down for a re-cap . . .
